Short term memory (if there is such a thing) is composed of 5 units, plus or minus two. Hence, to make a funny, lists have to be 4 or less, preferably 3. Any more would allow previous information to be displaced, taking away from the humor.

Dude, Where's My Mind?

So I was sitting outside smoking a cigarette fully enjoying the residual warmth of today's warm weather and contemplating the marvels of life. Things along the lines of the full bathtub I left in my bathroom, and the foreign porn I just watched, all the while missing Japan as I often do. I was looking up in the sky where Scorpio would typically be, but it wasn't there. In its place was a star pattern I have never seen before, which actually looked like it could be some alien writing.. a message created by rearranging celestial bodies. It's funny how we think of alien scripture; something pretty much resembling any sort of human cultural characters, either present or ancient. Maybe aliens write in three dimensions.. and since stars are in 3-D hence the variance of brightness and size due to its distance from Earth (and it could be the actual brightness of the star itself.. but I won't get into the physics of it), it could very well be a message. But it would only be from Earth's perspective, so it must be a signal to some aliens residing on Earth. Perhaps it's saying to let their presence be known, like now is the time to enlighten us of the wonders of the universe, or at least what they know of the universe. I don't think aliens (or at least the aliens I often think of) are hostile by any means. I think they are the ones responsible for us being here in the first place. If they were hostile, it would be that they are upset with the progress or the outcome of the planet and civilization. I also wonder if they are the same aliens that were there in the beginning. Either that they have an extremely long life, or they travel through space at speeds faster than light allowing us to age while they stay the same. Or maybe there are really wormholes in space. Like they traveled to the future to see the outcome, and if they were displeased they traveled back and made some changes. Maybe this is the 3958th life I've lived, or maybe it's the first time I've lived. I wonder if the aliens are pleased now.. maybe that message was to tell the other aliens that things are all good, and to let things be. Maybe this is the last moment I will know of this life, and await time to pass until this time again. Or maybe this time again I won't even exist.

With Your Feet in the Air, and Your Head on the Ground

Okay Craig, I keep leaching off your posts, and steal all your quiz ideas.. so here's my deal:

Where is my Mind?
You're smart, shy, and often nonsensical. You have dreams of being famous, and you're quirky enough that you just might pull them off. Some would call you a genius, others would call you insane, but in reality you're pretty well-adjusted. Take a vacation once in a while- it'll help take your mind off of your troubles.
Which Pixies song are you?

Hmmm... I dunno about shy, but the whole genius thing is pretty on point! SIIIIKE!

Oh yeah, I got the new Mars Volta CD. Haven't listened to it thoroughly yet though, Craig, but I'm on it.

Electric Daisy Carnival: First and Last

EDC was pretty dope. It was my first rave 3 years ago, and I think EDC this year was my last. I'm HELLA happy that James and Chris had a good time! That was my first priority. The vibe was a little off though, and the venue seemed kinda small... but all in all, a good time. Man, I miss raving and all, but I think I'm happy to leave that in my past. Got other things to do now.. like um.. watching TV, um... reading books... and uh... that's about it. Sigh... I have no life.

Okay, good night to all and to all a good night.
