Short term memory (if there is such a thing) is composed of 5 units, plus or minus two. Hence, to make a funny, lists have to be 4 or less, preferably 3. Any more would allow previous information to be displaced, taking away from the humor.

Welcome to the Machine

Ten points to anyone who can name that reference. Welp, back to school, to prove to dad that I'm not a fool. It's the first week of class and it has proven to be no different than the other first weeks I have encountered. However, this time around I feel more optimistic. I seem to be looking at the world through different spectacles that turns the world a beautiful shade of rose. Why? Welp, I guess it all started finals week of last quarter. You see the whole winter 03 quarter I got pretty introspective, as I'm sure you can gather from my previous posts. I started to become a Descartes reincarnate and doubt everything, like a pretentious college student. Don't get me wrong, I don't debase my previous statements, however now I have a new light at the end of the tunnel and things don't seem that bleak anymore. Perhaps it's just the changing of the seasons, and the new found warm sunny days that we've been having, or maybe it's just me and the chips are falling into place like the weights of an attractor network, allowing me to see the grand picture. Okay, total digression.. so where was I? OH, finals week, last quarter. I found out what I wanted to do with my life... at least for the whole 5 year plan. I've decided to persue a "career" in civil service, like my good ol pops, with the option to travel. So now the pressure is relieved of "what the hell am I doing??????????" Throughout college I was just taking classes to take classes.. basically classes to satisfy GE, or major requirements... not really paying any mind to the number of classes of a certain series I need to take. I dropped one class today that I thought I needed, but didn't, and it turns out that I only need one more math class, and don't need to worry about linear algebra. So it looks like I'll be graduating around this time next year! Oh my goodness there is a god.

Sadly though, my childhood dreams have died.... perhaps one day I will persue them, I AM still young never the less, but I guess I have to take a more practical route in life. I COULD just persue my dreams, become a starving actress, and for money just marry rich, but that would betray everything I believe in. Or perhaps I could just do community theatre, and just dream of Broadway. Or maybe Craig WILL become a wonderful director, and I can be his American version of Franka Potente. Run Larah Run... has a nice ring to it.
